One in four adults are deficient in Vitamin B12, the energy vitamin that your body needs to carry out essential functions. This energy vitamin also aids in weight loss.
If you’re feeling weak or easily tired, you probably are suffering from Vitamin B12 deficiency. This vitamin is what your body requires for energy production, blood formation, DNA synthesis and myelin formation.
As Vitamin B12 is not commonly found in high dosages in foods, taking a supplement everyday can be beneficial.
B12 can be found in foods such as oysters, mussels, smoked salmon, milk, eggs, herring, tuna, sardines, trout, shrimp, lobster and fortified cereals containing B12.
However if you aren’t consuming much of these foods, be sure to take a vitamin B12 supplement.
Recommendation: 2.4 mcg of sublingual B12 per day.
